Thanks to @fishing4eskimo for killing it at Warner Bros today
It’s almost frightening to try and write a blog about my recent trip to India. I could never even begin to explain properly the things I saw, the things I experienced and the things I am still now trying to make sense of. I have enough stories to cause a computer to run out of ink. As a Westerner, my mind has been confined to a very small spectrum of reality while there is so much more to explore and perceive.
India holds one of the most ancient and a mysterious cultures on Earth- there is no place, truth, knowledge or drug that is as unique of an experience as this country. You get a sense of timelessness either just walking down the banks of the Ganges River, or witnessing the strong military presence in Kashmir.
I would gladly take the twenty hour plane ride again any day. I would take the plane ride on a bed of rusty nails! I would even take the kid who cried beside me almost the whole flight again for a chance to return. (I made a paper bag animal from an in-flight barf bag and he cheered up, the other sleepless passengers applauded shortly after.)
Culture shock is an understatement. See my pictures, which can be best described in one phrase as “things I found different from my homeland”, (which of course intrigued the shutter-finger), and decide for yourself. I need to go back because my visa expires in six months! Thanks again Les.
