JL + LJ in Digital SLR mag

Digital SLR manages to hide another two great stories deep in it’s pages, and puts something newstand safe on the cover. What is a “young gun”? I do not know. However, I am incredibly selfish and always happy to have another article written about me. I guess they did a good job!

Check out me and my friend Lara Jade in this month’s issue. I think putting Lara Jade on the cover would sell more magazines! Lara is also great photographer. The fondest memory I have of her is when she got really angry after I ate all the fruit in her fridge. A month later she got an empty grape stem in the mail from an anonymous sender. Lara has kind of reached cult phenomenon status, everyone seems to love her. How could you not?

    I don't care for photography mags too much, but digital SLR is actually pretty decent. They always have interviews with photographers people actually want to know more about.

    Actually, Joey, they did a wonderful article on your trip and spoke only marvels of your talent. The magazine also had a lot of other articles of interest to its many readers, so it is obvious that they will stay with their editorial style, also, would putting your work on the cover cost more in terms of copyright? Young guns are dashing, young people showing the rest of the world how it is done, so I would be greatly pleased with being called that (if I was young enough to qualify!)

    Practical Photography had a 5 page article on Lara in their March issue. She's an awesome photographer, and I am seriously jealous of her talent!

    You and Lara Jade are pretty much everyone I know (who's a photographer age 14-40... only because.. that's only the people I know..) 's inspiration and favorite photographers. I know you both are my inspiration. Keep up the amazing work!

    I was looking to purchase a photography magazine and your all too familiar name suddenly caught my eye on Digital SLR Mag. Awesome work Joey, I always knew you would go far. I will keep watching.
